Yes. This is the main risk of empty leg travel. Since the flight is based on the original "primary" charter, if that primary client changes their schedule or cancels, the empty leg may also be cancelled. We always recommend having a backup plan.
Yes. When you book an empty leg with Charter Wind, you are chartering the entire aircraft. It is not a "shared seat" shuttle; the private jet is yours for that flight.
Usually, empty legs become available 24 to 72 hours before departure. Occasionally, they appear up to a week in advance, but they are generally last-minute opportunities.
